Joint Operations
Increasingly, our clients function within an operational environment characterized by inter-agency, inter-government, and allied nation cooperation and shared responsibilities. Homeland Defense, Homeland Security, and Civil Support bring to the forefront recurring needs for joint implementation across the spectrum of operations from warfighting to reconstruction and stabilization, to medical relief and public safety. Changes are underway in how agencies develop plans, strategies, and operations. Clarification is required of new and evolving government missions, roles, and responsibilities.
In Joint Operations, we focus on the activities where government entities must work together to address national security challenges through the implementation of common and intersecting functions. In particular, the challenge domains of Homeland Defense, Global War on Terrorism, and Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction are closely interrelated and stimulate requirements for joint operations strategic planning and analyses. These are domains where we have significant capabilities and a broad network that enables our work – and they are national priorities of increasing attention. Within these domains, Proliferation Security, Civil Support/Reconstruction/Stabilization, Critical Infrastructure Protection, and Mission Assurance are all fundamental functions required to protect our Nation’s interests. These functions and their associated requirements frame the services we provide in Joint Operations.
